I took Brad and his friend billy on a winter camping trip this year. It was their first trip. I rented them some snow shoes and we hiked into the northern part of Algonquin Provincial Park, just north of the West Gate.
It was a rough hike, but we finally found a place to make camp. The boys pretty much stayed in the tent (we cheated and brought a little tent heater) where it was warm while I tried to find some dry wood to get a fire going. I made some pie iron's (awesome grilled cheese sandwiches) and hot chocolate for dinner. The next day we got up and I made some coffee and we decided to go for a hike.
We had originally planned to stay for two days, however it was pretty rough on Brad and Billy, plus I dropped my pack in the creek! :( so we went decided as a group to pack up and go home.
